It can be hard to find good auto insurance rates in Phoenix these days. Since the American and world economy has crashed insurance companies like banks are being scrupulous with premiums and risk rating systems. Insurance is a necessity for our society to function and it is also Arizona law that you have at least 15/30/10 to drive on the Arizona roads. This coverage is even too low, but is often the most affordable option. Even though premiums are rising to the climate of the economy and inflation there are still ways that you can save on car insurance in AZ.
The quickest way to save on insurance and to be sure that you are getting the best rate possible for you and your family members is to get multiple quotes. These days you don’t even have to call around anymore. So many sites are out there that can give you the ability to fill out one form and receive quotes form all the top insurance agencies in your area instantly or over a 48 hour period. This gives you the ability to choose from policies side by side, and to see if you are truly getting the best deal out there. You can even choose how you want to be contacted, through phone or email or both. The internet is completely changing how Phoenix residents search for auto insurance policies more and more everyday.
There are other ways to make your car insurance costs lower too, without lowering your coverage which is never recommended. Let’s start with your deductible. If you currently have a deductible of 250.00 you might want to consider raising it to 500.00 or 750.00 If you are known to keep a large amount in your savings I would recommend moving your deductible to 1,000.00 or even 1,250.00. This may sound crazy to some, but unless you get in accident every 3 years you will save money this way.
Deductibles aren’t the only way to save money on your current policy.
Glass coverage is not necessary in every situation. Your comprehensive coverage on your automobile already covers small dings and nicks on your windshield. So you will only use glass coverage if your whole windshield needs to be replaced. I don’t know about you but most people don’t have to replace a full windshield more then once in a 10 year period. Glass coverage is normally an extra 30 to 50 dollars every 6 months. So let’s say it is $80.00 every year, times that by 10 and you get $800.00. You will never spend $800.00 to replace a windshield ever. Now this only works if you tend to keep a few hundred dollars in your savings account at all times or if you have major credit card you can use.
These are just a few ways to save on auto insurance in Phoenix. You can find more information on websites like AZQuote4U.com or PhoenixAZInsurance.org.
